Something has changed since our last trip to Orrick. New owner/manager/staff? Gotta get that catfish dialed in! Little bland and a different fillet, used to be larger fillets.
Was debating on stopping here driving through for work and was hungry. glad I stopped in. Just a quaint little dinner produces some good eats. Picture is from the lunch special and was awesome if I'm driving through here again I would most definitely stop back by
The food was good. I got the speacil for today.. prime steak, salad, roll, cottage cheese, mash potatoes with gravy (real potatoes with a cream added yummy) I did add a bunch of pepper then mixed real good..yummy . I ordered a beer to come when the steak came (fosty mug)... Service was good got seated right away. My cup got to 1/4 and they topped it off. They brought the beer with steak like I asked. Definitely a go to place when the wife doesn't want to cook.
I went to Jayder's Cove for dinner last Friday night for the first time. I can guarantee you it won't be my last time there as I plan on returning. Often. My dinner guest and I both had the fried catfish dinner. Having grown up eating catfish I consider myself a connoisseur of fried catfish dinners and Jayder's Cove is about the best I've ever had. The fries and coleslaw were also excellent. Service was as exceptional as the dinner.
Our first time eating here. Had been hearing how good the prime rib is there Jayder's Cove did not disappoint I love prime rib and prefer to have it cooked rare. My prime rib was served perfectly rare with a cool center....just right as was the tasty baked potato, broccoli cheese casserole and the homemade roll was to die for My husband ordered a tenderloin and fries. Both items were cooked to perfection, in fact, he commented that it was one of the best tenderloin sandwiches he ever had It wasn't a huge, thinly beat out tenderloin, but was a nice thickness, breaded just right and fried to a golden brown. Our first visit to Jayder's Cove was excellent. Great food, no wait and the staff was very friendly We will definitely be repeat customers
Best tacos that we have had from a restaurant in a long time. Everyone was friendly, it has the real home town atmosphere.
If you haven't stopped her on Wednesday your missing out. Wednesday is fried chicken day and man it's so good. We met some friends for a birthday celebration and not only did they put up bday ballons and such they had it on the TV with our names on it and made us a special birthday cake that was delicious (mama's pie) but we had it as a cake and it was sooooo good!!! Left full and enjoying the staff that made sure we had everything we wanted and stuff we didn't even know we wanted.
